Meet Dnepropetrovsk Sputnik Unifitsirovannyy-1 Geofizicheskiy, or DS-U1-G for friends. It was part of the DS standardized series of Soviet satellites designed and built by the Ukrainian OKB-586 or later Yuzhnoye Design Office, and used for geophysical research.

Development on the Vettore Europeo di Generazione Avanzata (European Vector of Advanced Generation) or Vega rocket began in 1988 by ESA and the ASI, with first fight occuring on February 13, 2012.
